The Importance of Membership

Declining membership numbers continues to be one of the most challenging issues facing the Veterans of Foreign Wars nationally, statewide and in our post.

  • Vietnam veterans represent the latest generation of combat veterans to lead the Veterans of Foreign Wars and as they grow older it is imperative our younger veterans who served so superbly in the numerous conflicts of the past 30 years become active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
  • We understand these veterans are working hard to succeed in their chosen field and may not feel they have time to join another organization but larger membership numbers enable us to advocate for ALL veterans.
  • Although you may not need the VA medical system or other benefits today, we want to ensure that support system will still be available as you grow older.

If you are a veteran or know a veteran who may be eligible for membership, please contact us for further information. We need YOU and the Veterans of Foreign Wars provides an outstanding opportunity to continue to serve.

  1. Interesting that your article about needing more members did not indicate how to join. Thought the “membership” tab would have a “join” button.

    • Jim – Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We are in the process of fixing the link & will have it working shortly. In the meanwhile, if you would like additional information on membership please contact our Quartermaster, Dan Jordan, at jord007@live.com

      Thank you!
